I wrote and recorded an album when I was living in a sublet in LA during the peak lockdown days

I had asked Smoke Bonito for some beats a while ago and he sent me one out of the blue. I wrote and recorded the song (To The Moon Please) but wasn't happy with it. I let my friend Lily hear it and she told me it was really good, so I decided to keep going in that direction.

When I told Open Mike about it he asked what the name of the project was. I said I was still trying to figure it out but I was considering calling it Film Fest. He immediately suggested I call it Hella Personal Film Festival 2

I wrote the album in 2 different sessions, both times I was tripping on some good LucySky, I recorded my demos on a different trip. I was very happy with the project so I listened to it and practiced for a couple weeks.

I was dogsitting Beulah for 2 weeks when I finally recorded this final version. I recorded it sitting on the floor, tripping far, with Beulah next to me.

My friend Gabe K heard it the day I finished it and told me it had to come out. He did a rough mix and added some SFX to a few tracks, both of us got distracted like people tend to get. A month later I left LA for work in the mountains of TN.

I spoke with my cousin Iowa Rockwell about a mix and he turned it out in a few days, then I sent it off to Micheal Kolar (who handled final mix and master for Week 1560) at Soundscape Studios (which also is the studio that mastered Successful Millionaire Secrets)
